Paradis Books and Bread Miami
Audrey Wright, Ben Yen, Bianca Sanon, Brian Wright, and Sef Chesson, the proprietors, who mostly met while working in the hospitality industry in New York City, have been striving towards this objective for several years. Eventually, they relocated to Miami to establish this idea collectively.
Paradis functions as a combined retail space for books and beverages, a café and wine bar for relaxing and dining throughout the day, a bakery that provides nutritious bread, and an urban garden adjacent to a delightful seating area. Sanon, the head sommelier for the venture, showcases a carefully curated collection of natural wines (made from hand-picked organic grapes and produced by small-scale vineyards, in line with her strict principles). Yen, on the other hand, offers a range of snacks that go well with wine, including various dips and slices of sourdough pizza. The cheese-less onion dish is an excellent example of Paradis' straightforward approach to food and drink that is incredibly delectable.
Together, the team has created a collection of new and used books that cover essential subjects such as Black studies and queer identity, as well as zines and novels published by small publishers. They also have a small library program that enables visitors to borrow books. The collection aims to encourage browsing, purchasing, and stimulating conversations while enjoying excellent wine.
