Amazing spot for lunch/ dinner close to Miami with a great view. Valet parking outside available, really good DJ was playing on Sunday, food was amazing: we had the Lobster roll, fancy potatoes and a fish burger and everything was awesome. You can get a table or just eat at the bar and enjoy the gorgeous view!
Had an awesome first time here! The location is amazing and the food was all very good! Didn't have a bad dish. Prices were also not crazy for the area. Waited about 20 minutes for a table on a Sunday evening without a reservation. Can't wait to come back.
Finally decided to check out Gramps Getaway in Key Biscayne. As a millennial who loves a good vibe, I was immediately drawn to the place’s laid-back atmosphere and the eclectic mix of music that was playing in the background. It was the perfect setting to unwind and enjoy a leisurely Saturday afternoon. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendliest staff I’ve encountered in a while. They were genuinely eager to help and made sure I felt welcome right from the start. The $7 valet service was the only parking available, which felt decent considering the safe parking location. Luckily, there was no wait to get a seat outside, which was a huge plus. We chose to sit in the sun, and found it quite enjoyable with the cool ocean breeze. The warmth of the sun definitely added to the relaxed and cheerful ambiance of the place but shaded seating is also available. There was a slight wait to place our order once we were seated, but it was manageable, especially given the lively atmosphere. Once our food arrived, it was clear that the wait was worth it. The dishes were not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. The lobster roll was a standout, offering a perfect balance of flavors and textures that made it worth every penny. I also indulged in the esquites, which came with Mexican totopos. Another dish I tried was the Hamachi Tiradito, which was beautifully presented with four slices of fresh fish, eight orange slices, a tangy chili vinaigrette, and shaved onion. While the flavors were on point, I found the price of $22 a bit steep for the portion size, so I might not order it again on my next visit. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I left feeling satisfied and happy. The 18% tip was included, which was a nice touch, and it certainly added to the positive impression of the service. Gramps Getaway definitely lived up to its reputation, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot to enjoy good food and even better vibes in Key Biscayne.
I went for the cafe. Jasilienn and company in the back are making quality unique baked goods. I got the maple bacon egg and cheese croissant and this tomato pasty thing. Both were great. Coffee fresh made right there Half inside half outside with great views of the city Worth visiting
Gramps Getaway is such a great spot with a beautiful view of the Miami skyline. The scenery alone makes it worth visiting, especially in the evening. There is valet parking available for seven dollars, which is good to know ahead of time. We walked in with no reservation and were seated right away. The service was great and our waiter was really friendly and attentive. We came during happy hour and enjoyed the ten dollar cocktails, which were a nice bonus. I ordered the double cheeseburger, which ended up being more of a smash burger. It was pretty good, but at eighteen dollars and not coming with fries, it felt a little pricey. It also wasn’t very filling and honestly I probably could have eaten two of them. We also ordered the crab dip and that was easily the star of the show. It was spicy, had a nice kick, and we completely devoured it. The conch fritters were okay, but they didn’t compare to the crab dip. The drinks were good and paired well with everything. Overall, the ambiance, service, and food made for a really fun experience. We had a great time and I’d definitely come back.
