In Miami’s sea of Cuban and Caribbean food, Spanish cuisine is quietly making waves, due to a huge diaspora and collective interest from all the Spanish speaking population here. Having been to Spain, I found the atmosphere and food quality extremely authentic, although it was not from an area I visited personally - Asturias in the north, a very hearty and meaty cuisine reflected in the dishes I ordered. Chorizo a la sidra, a flame-cooked chorizo cooked in cider, was well-charred and presented beautifully in a small tin similar to that used in Spain. A ceramic pot was the perfect serving vehicle for fabada, the special on the day I visited - a comforting bean stew with multiple meats and sausages that can give energy to face the Miami heat and humidity. I paired the meal with a glass of Ribera del Duero Crianza, a hearty and rustic red wine that melded wonderfully with a meat-driven plate. The reason for the restaurant getting 4 stars instead of 5, is the poor transparency on the wine list. As you can see by the attached wine list menu, all “copas” or glasses were at that time advertised to cost $10. The waitress asked me when I ordered the red wine, “¿Jovén o Crianza?” meaning the regular, everyday trim or the more regulated and aged version. The increased cost of the Crianza, at $14, was nowhere disclosed on the menu or verbally. When I inquired about the cost, predictably they said it was because it was Crianza. I remarked that that should’ve been on the menu, and followed up via email and received no response. While it is reasonable for me as a wine professional to expect and pay that increased charge, it is not fair to the average consumer and I implore the restaurant to change this if they have not yet since my visit in May. If I ever return to Miami and find myself wanting to eat here again, which is likely according to everything else about this restaurant, that will be my first question.

Came here for a weekday lunch and of course we had to try a little bit of everything. Service was excellent and this was a true gem!!!! Reminds me of when I traveled to Spain, everything was traditional and they import so many delicious foods/ingredients.

I have been to Spain 1000 times and I didn’t have such an authentic food abroad often. I could hear the staff speaking Spanish from Spain and that gave me a feeling that the food would be proper. I was right. The guys behind the bar were very friendly . The chef was super cool, gave us some suggestions to have dishes Asturianos. The tortilla ( just a classic Spanish) was spot on and so the chorizo a la sidra ( I didn’t had enough of the sauce with bread). We ordered a Fabada (Asturian bean and sausages stew) so my husband could try. I wasn’t expecting to be such a huge portion. The meat balls were delightful with a sauce that had so much flavour to dig my bread in to. The wine list was wonderful. Portions are very generous so if it’s your first time ask for advice because they will offer the best. We ate a lot and after all the prices were fair for the amount of quality food and wine we had. Highly recommend

Surprise hit! We stumbled upon El Rincon Asturiano while exploring the area, and boy, are we glad we did! We ordered the seafood parrilla and the langostinos cream, and OMG, they were TO DIE FOR! The best of the best, hands down! If you're a seafood lover, you HAVE to try these two dishes. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe them. Highly recommend this spot!"
