Virginia Key Beach is een van de meest interessante stranden in Zuid-Florida. Het ligt bij de Rickenbacker Causeway, vlakbij het Miami SeaAquarium. Door de goede ligging is het een van de meest bezochte kustgebieden door toeristen en inwoners van Miami, een feit dat niets afdoet aan zijn bijzondere charme.

Als je de drukte op het strand wilt vermijden, zul je een stukje moeten lopen, en heel dichtbij zul je rustigere plekken vinden, weg van de menigte. In het zuidelijke gedeelte zijn honden toegestaan (aangelijnd). Aan de noordzijde is een windsurfspot.

Op dit strand zijn ook allerlei faciliteiten te vinden zoals restaurants, strandbars, douches, ligstoelen te huur...
