Been waiting to try. Staple of Coral Gables. Drive by it on the way to work. Wide variety of South American inspired dishes. Incredible margaritas. 2 for 1 draft beer. Servers are on point. Gave me a free cafe colada after meal which was delicious. Portions are generous. Great value. Great lunch specials but absolutely NO substitutions. The Jalea Mixta is the Best appetizer sampler money can buy. Will feed 4. Everything was cooked and seasoned to succulent perfection. Only gave 4 stars for food because their pico is the worst I've ever had. No flavor. No cilantro or jalapenos. Tomatoes were mush. it was so bad I had to scrape it off my tacos. Also, they will not season anything to make it spicy. You will have to use Tabasco. Weird, but not a deal breaker. Will definitely be back
Absolutely phenomenal as soon as we walked in, we were seated. Kiara Customer service was absolutely amazing. I love how she did not anticipate on giving us our food and making sure that we were served properly. She did a phenomenal job and I highly recommend this place. The food was fresh. None of the seafood taste fishy in the environment was very clean. If you go to this restaurant, please ask for Kiara she is an exceptional waitress.
My husband and I went to eat there today for our 32nd Anniversary. I can honestly say we loved it. Great atmosphere, food and staff. I highly recommend it if you want to eat seafood. My husband ate the surf and turf and I ate the fried whole fish, delicious!!! The best fried fish and surf and turf we’ve ever eaten. Daniela was our waitress. She had a happy and wonderful personality, very welcoming. I give Don Camarón Seafood Grill a 10 star
It’s a very popular restaurant, serving mainly seafood 😎. The aroma of food as one enters and waits to be served stimulates the gastrics😛😛😛. The Menu is short and sweet: Fish and/or Shellfish plus some meats for the carnivore. 🤗🤗🤗 the Chicharrón de Pescado is very flavorful. Fresh chunks of fish, very very lightly bread (almost like Tempura), and fried to crisp yet there is no hint of oil. Fish is king! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 the Filete Tropical is a great example of a fish dish of complex flavors and textures. Pan fried fresh fillet of snapper on mashed potatoes topped with mild pico de gallo and chimichurri. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 the Salmon Cilantro is another textural flavorful dish. Skinless salmon, pan fried but tasting like poached, topped with simple grilled shrimps and garnished with pico and a lovely mustard sauce. 🍹🍹🍹 the Sangrias (red & white) are so very fine accompaniments and very coolingly refreshing is a hot Spring day in Miami. SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING. The restaurant is so very well lit with natural light. It has the ambience of a country seaside diner😎😎😎.
We had an incredible meal here. For our appetizer, we started with the tuna tartare, and it was amazing and so fresh and flavorful. For the main course, the seafood grill platter was the real star of the show; it was SO delicious and perfectly cooked. We paired everything with their white sangria and finished with the crème brûlée for dessert. Aside from the food being top-tier, I noticed all the waitresses are super friendly and really on top of it. Great service and even better food. I will definitely be coming back!
