One of the best French restaurants I’ve ever been to! Le Bouchon du Grove perfectly captures the true spirit of a classic French bistro right on the main road in Coconut Grove. It’s a charming, rather small place, but it feels incredibly authentic. We stopped by in the middle of the day without a reservation and were seated right away, but given how excellent the food is, I assume it gets packed at night—reservations are highly recommended! The food here is on another level. Every single dish was a hit: The Onion Pie (Special): Absolutely amazing. Escargot: Perfectly executed and very good. Duck Confit: Phenomenal and packed with flavor. Beef Cheeks: Incredibly tender and melt-in-your-mouth flavorful. Chicken Fricassee: Personally, this was a total blast. Easily one of my favorites. If you are in the mood for genuine French cuisine, this is definitely the place to be. It’s easily on the top of my list now. The only minor critique I have is regarding the temperature inside. They have the AC running, but because the beautiful French doors were kept wide open, it was quite hot inside. Eating a hot, hearty meal during a Florida summer without full blast AC can be a bit tough! I’d highly suggest management keep those doors closed during the peak summer heat so guests can fully enjoy the hot food in comfort. During the cooler months, though, that open-door setup would be absolutely perfect. Overall, a spectacular meal. I strongly recommend it to anyone, especially those who appreciate true French cuisine!

A very nice place to enjoy a French style dinner. A small place, perhaps a little tight but with a good European atmosphere. The options to choose from are varied, including an excellent and must-have French-style onion soup. I totally recommend “Le filet Mignon” and the “Fricassee de Volaille”. They welcome you with a glass of prosecco on the house and offer an extensive wine list. We were lucky to be served by Samantha, she gave us good recommendations.

Awesome dinner, met all expectations, not your laid back place and a little touristy but live the French artifacts and the food excellent, the pate was great, the best prosciutto I've ever had, my wife loved the tomatoes... the chicken fricassee with mushroom risotto a unique experience for me, tasty and very filling, the only regret not enough room for dessert!

Four of us went here for brunch/lunch and were quickly seated at a table outside by a server at 12:30. After that it was incredibly slow service and we had to ask multiple times for a menu. We placed our orders the next time we saw the server; 2 French onion soups, 2 omelets, and 2 beef filet sandwiches. 35 minutes to get the soups, then another 20 minutes+ to get the main course. Incredibly slow and no updates on where our orders were. Food was average for flavor but everything was greasy. Each omelet came with only 4 potato wedges. Hopefully it was an off meal because the reviews do not match the experience my group had.

12-2025: Periodically, we come into town. When we do, it's here that we come to dine. If teleportation were real, then walking into this place is the doorway to France. Phenomenal atmosphere, thoughtful staff, but what really makes it superb is the attention to the craft of authentic French cooking. When you ask for something medium rare, you're going to get medium rare. Subtle, complimentary flavors are a taste bud treat. You'll want to eat more slowly than normal to savor each bite. Started with Salade Bouchon with butter lettuce, goat cheese, and a creamy red wine dressing. The butter lettuce is the key. This with a glass of MERLOT, CHEVALIER, ALEXIS LUCHINI PAYS D OC. Not over-powering. The main course was an Angus beef fillet with a Dijon sauce. This came with a mild-cheesy gratin. However, it was the thoughtful layer of baby snow peas hidden under the fillet that changed the flavor when sampled. Paired with CABERNET SAUVIGNON, O BY CLAUDE VIALADE - organic wine. I was trying to stay tannin-light this evening. Fantastic. Dessert was creme brulee with vanilla bean and an unsweetened espresso. A great combination. I would have tried one of the duck items, but Thanksgiving was already ducked with duck l'orange, so didn't want to get over ducked. A crisp high five to the staff out front and in the back and to the chef/owner for his French cooking preservation effort. Fantastic. Oh, and the BEST part. The portions are real-sized and not "Elf food."
