Wellbeing and Travel in Miami

Everything is in letting yourself lead a healthier life and breaking those bad practices

After hearing the legends of the native peoples, the first governor of Puerto Rico became obsessed with finding the Fountain of Eternal Youth. As the first "tourist" of the state of Florida and Spanish conqueror, Juan Ponce de León, who tried to find these longevity waters in this virgin and swampy peninsula of the United States.

This ancient myth may be true, since, over the years, Miami has positioned itself as the healthiest metropolis in the United States. From the 70s and 80s, wellness trips were common, where since then beaches with exercise equipment became fashionable.

In the city of compulsive shopping, gastronomic offers, and artistic circuits, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) states that more and more travelers come to these beaches for activities and proposals for wellness and health tourism in the face of the scourge from stress and obesity.

In gastronomic offers, places like Terras, are excellent to keep the healthy scene without missing the Latin flavors, being the only bar with a rooftop in Little Havana. There they offer food inspired by local vegetables with a nod to Latin American Street Food. Another culinary destination is Mama Joon, located on the oceanfront and in the courtyard of Collins Park. His proposal is vegetarian Mediterranean food with Lebanese influence.
