Description
This River of Grass Airboat Adventure offers an intimate setting with only 7 to 8 guests per boat. Experience a thrilling yet relaxing and educational cruise through the Florida Everglades. The captain will pause during the ride for safe, close encounters with alligators, exotic birds, fish, turtles, and butterflies.
Engage in informative discussions about the Everglades’ history and ongoing restoration, one of North America’s largest ecosystem programs. Guests are invited to visit the Dade Corners Pilot Travel Center beforehand for restrooms and unique souvenirs.
The boat launch is 1.5 miles west, offering free parking just yards from the boat and captain. Uber and Lyft drivers are welcome and usually nearby for convenient pickups. This private tour avoids long lines, long walks, and crowds.
Board a clean, comfortable airboat equipped with lightweight noise-cancelling headsets, which allow you to keep hats or visors on. It’s advisable to bring an extra layer of clothing as temperatures can feel cooler on the water, and there is storage space under your seat. The captain will provide a brief tour overview and safety rules.
