Description

Learn how to throw on the wheel in a 2-hour introductory class for new students. Get a hands-on experience that will teach the basics of throwing pottery. Techniques will be explored with an instructor who will take you step by step on how to throw on the wheel including centering, pulling walls, surface decoration, and more contingent on your level. After the guided class is over, stick around and continue creating. Create decorative pieces that can be taken home the same day. For an additional fee, leave your pieces for firing which will make them waterproof and more durable. If you would like to make them food safe, sign up for a glazing class. Karaoke is optional/available upon request. Dress comfortably and lightly, and secure any hanging accessories and jewelry. Students with long hair are required to tie their hair up.
