Description

Experience the natural beauty of Lamar Lake on a paddleboard or kayak. Spot manatees during the manatee season between November and April, and see dolphins, spotted eagle rays, and great blue herons at other times of the year. Visit Virginia Key Beach Park and follow the signs for kayak and paddleboard rentals. After a brief safety briefing, set off on your adventure. Paddle through the tranquil waters of Lamar Lake, taking in the unique mix of natural and urban scenes including, Downtown Miami's iconic skyline as seen from Biscayne Bay.

Important Information

• The activity is available from November to April for manatee sightings. Outside of manatee season, other wildlife sightings are common. Follow signs for kayak and paddleboard rentals upon entering Virginia Key Beach park. Parking is available on site.
