COVID-19 – Miami Updates
On May 13, the CDC announced that fully vaccinated people can remove masks in most settings.
Only 50 percent of the community aged 16 and over have been vaccinated, and since it is not known who has been vaccinated and who has not, it is urged to practice common sense and continue to follow masking and other precautions if they have not been vaccinated. Anyone in a high-risk field or who is medically vulnerable is also urged to continue to follow all COVID safety guidelines.
- It will not be required, but we will recommend that individuals wear a mask and social distancing at Miami-Dade County facilities.
- Masks are still required at the airport, port, and on public transportation per federal guidelines.
- If you have not received the vaccine yet, visit the following link and make a plan to get vaccinated. Doing so means that you can finally remove the mask and fully return to normal life.
