We had a very enjoyable stay at the Pelican Hotel from 6th to 9th June. The location is great, right in the heart of the of Miami South Beach. The rooms of this boutique hotel are individually and thoughtfully designed in art-deco style, but everything is new, having been recently refurbished. The food is exceptional, with the restaurant specialising in seafood and Italian cuisine. To top this off, the customer service and professionalism of ALL of the staff is outstanding. A special mention is due to Diego and Gabrielle at Reception; to Julio at the bar and overseeing breakfasts - so enthusiastic! I have no hesitation in recommending the Pelican Hotel for a great stay in Miami - and exceptional food.

*Fantastic staff, but the "Vegas" room was a bit too eccentric* I stayed at the Pelican Hotel on March 9-10. This place is an icon of Ocean Drive, and you can really breathe the art and Diesel’s unique style in every corner. However, my experience was a mix of great hospitality and some "quirky" downsides. 1) The Room (Las Vegas Theme): The room was definitely a piece of art, but perhaps a bit too eccentric for a relaxing stay. The giant mirror pointing directly at the side of the bed was quite unsettling—it felt like it was "sucking the energy" out of the room. Not the best for a peaceful night's sleep! Also, despite our request, we weren't given a room facing Ocean Drive, which was disappointing. 2) Soundproofing: While the windows did a great job blocking the noise from the street, the internal soundproofing was poor. I could clearly hear the neighbor talking on the phone as if they were in the room with me. 3) The Highlight: The Staff The true soul of this hotel is the people. The reception team (the gentleman in the morning and the lady in the evening) was incredibly kind. During lunch at the Pelican Café, the waitresses and the senior bartender were absolutely delightful—professional, friendly, and welcoming. They truly made us feel at home. 4) A Note for the Chef: As Italian, we really enjoyed the food and wanted to personally compliment the Italian chef. We asked the bartender to invite him out for a quick hello, but unfortunately, he never showed up. In a boutique hotel where hospitality is everything, a chef should be happy to greet their guests! 5) Final Verdict: Go for the vibe and the amazing service from the floor staff, but be prepared for some very "bold" design choices and thin walls.

We were in this hotel with my family. It was our first time staying in miami beach and we obviously wanted to have an amazing experience. We booked the suite (the zebra one), which was fine except the fact that the room where you go in looked a little like a strip club. Breakfast was amazing, staff was AMAZING, but in this hotel you’ll get absolutely no sleep unless you’re blackout drunk. The music from the bar is WAY too loud, you can hear every single word of the songs that are being played. Vacuuming at 4 am and waking everyone up?? yeah!! And then the best part: our suite was one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel if not the most expensive, and imagine it being right next to the damn elevator. You can hear its every move. If its moving up, down, or the most annoying: it’s constant beeping. And then you keep hearing the people coming out of it. So.. if you want some proper sleep, I would absolutely not recommend. Although the hotel is alright i guess.. 🫩🫩 3.4/10

We loved it! Perfect location, wonderful and special rooms, really clean! Most of the staff was really helpful. Especially the guy behind the front desk made sure we had everything we needed and even went out of his way to help us find a parking lot for our oversized car. Also big shoutout to the barkeeper! He made great drinks and always made sure to remind us of our complimentary drink in the afternoon, which is a really nice perk :) Would absolutely recommend
