Great stay at Hampton Inn Wynwood! Clean rooms, good location in the Design District. Special shoutout to Rodney Mathias at the front desk- he helped me print some important documents when I really needed it and handled everything with such kindness and efficiency. Exactly the kind of service that makes you feel taken care of. Will definitely be back!
The room and location were perfect, but Eric at the front desk truly made our stay exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about great restaurants and shops in the area and took the time to share helpful information about hotel perks like breakfast and shuttle services. Fortunately we were only here for one night before a cruise. Our room although superficially nice had lots of issues. (They left a caulking gun and tools in the bathroom. Caulk was still wet. As soon as you turned the faucet on for the shower/tub it sounded like a buzz saw was running. The air conditioner was loud and sounded like it would fail at any time. Adjusting the room temperature you had to hope the buttons would eventually work.). Pool was nice. Location was good and they have a shuttle to the port. There was some sort of event going on in the area so pricing at that time was very high. Luckily we had booked early otherwise price would not have been worth it. Staff was friendly and helpful. As we were only there for the night and only needed somewhere to sleep most of the room issues did not affect us.
We stayed here before leaving for a cruise. It was a quiet hotel in a decent location related to the cruise. A nearby spot with some good restaurants and chain shops, which is fine. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The hotel main areas were fairly clean but some of their furniture could use updating. The couches in the breakfast area were torn up and the fake leather was flaking off. The free breakfast was perfectly fine and had the usual items on a free breakfast. Our biggest issue was the rooms. The beds were clean but there were quite a lot of dirty spots throughout the room. Spots that should be fairly easy to clean. It was kind of gross. Overall it was just ok for a single night. Not sure if I'd stay again or not.
