Fantastic meal and experience. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with friendly staff and a stunning aesthetic. It’s so gorgeous, it’s definitely one of the prettiest restaurants in Miami for sure. I love the old, romantic, dimly lit aesthetic and this restaurant is all about that. Real candlesticks on each table on vintage chamber sticks was such a nice touch. We went for dinner the night before Valentine’s Day and it was great. The music was very vibey but you could still hear each other talk. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and dip which was a nice touch. We ate the pillows of love pasta which was delicious, the wedge salad, the beef tenderloin steak tartare (wow!), and one of the wagyus. For whatever reason my drinks at the table were average, but when I ordered the same drink at the bar after dinner it was delicious. Must have been a different bartender. After our dinner, we were able to sit at the bar for a bit longer to keep enjoying the restaurant. We wanted to go to the speakeasy but it was at capacity. Hope to go back and try a few more things as well as go to the speakeasy.
Well well well, it’s been 3 weeks since and I went to Maple & Ash and I’m devastated. The food and service was absolutely delicious!!! Shoutout to Gabby for her expertise in almost everything! From the starters (and I usually never order appetizers) to the meal to the exquisite wine selections, we honestly couldn’t have had a better experience. We were able to make our reservation and all special requests for my homegirl birthday right online, then when contacted due to us running behind in Miami traffic, the staff was so friendly and assistive. I can’t even start to describe how delicious everything tasted. Well what are you waiting for GO TRY NOW!
We went to Maple & Ash Miami for my sister-in-law’s birthday. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a great ambiance and a stunning chandelier. They also welcomed us with a complimentary pineapple vodka drink and appetizer, which was a nice touch. My boyfriend ordered the snapper and really enjoyed it, which ended up being the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was disappointing, especially considering the price point. Service & Drinks:Our waiter was kind and seemed to be trying his best, but overall, the experience felt disorganized and poorly coordinated from the start. I ordered a mocktail, my sister-in-law ordered a martini, and my boyfriend ordered a Stella. They brought out my mocktail first but mistakenly gave it to my sister-in-law. After tasting it, she realized it didn’t contain alcohol, so we informed the waiter. Another drink was brought out and handed to me, but after taking a sip, I realized it actually contained alcohol and was likely my sister-in-law’s martini. Since I’m pregnant, this was especially concerning. We informed the waiter again, and he said he would fix it and send the proper drinks, but nothing else was brought out afterward. I eventually ordered a Coke and told him to forget about the drink altogether, but the Coke didn’t arrive until the bill came out. To make matters worse, my boyfriend’s Stella never arrived either, so the only beverages we had throughout the meal were four $12 bottles of water. Food:The food unfortunately did not meet expectations. Both my sister-in-laws ordered steaks medium-well and well-done, but both arrived undercooked. I ordered the medium-well lamb chops, which were also undercooked and very chewy. Given my pregnancy, properly cooked food was especially important, so this was disappointing. The mashed potatoes were good, but the mac and cheese lacked flavor. Aside from my boyfriend’s snapper, which he really enjoyed, the rest of the meal fell short. While the atmosphere is lovely, the food and service did not live up to the restaurant’s reputation or price point.
10/10!!! From the moment I step into the restaurant… the decor and atmosphere was amazing. I was traveling by myself and sometimes it can be intimidating having a meal as a solo traveler. However, Mike was outstanding! Loved his attentiveness, recommendations, conversation, etc. The staff was a 10/10 the most kind, attentive, respectful, and considerate staff i’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. This is my new favorite place and I cannot wait to come back. This place was the highlight of my Miami trip. Also, the food was so OUTSTANDING!! I’ll be daydreaming about the lobster dumplings, ceviche , lamb chops, and the amazing dessert until I return in June. Definitely will request Mike as my server again. He is immaculate.
