My wife and I visit from time to time as we are locals. The prices are really good what they offer, especially considering it is one of the historic Ocean Drive Art Deco hotels. We always find the rooms tidy and spotless. All the staff members we interact with have been really friendly and professional. Julio from the front desk, Manny the server, and the Greek bartender whose name I always forget (sorry buddy 😅) always remember us and makes us feel at home. They have a talented musician who always keeps the place lively at nights. The breakfast deal for hotel guess is really worth it, as having breakfast at Ocean Drive in the mornings is an experience on its own. If you like whiskey 'Rite of Passage' is a really good drink and their burrata is spot on.
Had a wonderful stay at this beautifully quirky hotel. Excellent location and easy access to the beach (hotel gives guests beach towels and chairs which is a nice touch). The stand out for us though was the attentive, friendly and genuine service we received from all the team. In particular a huge thank you to Richard who looked after us during a very special evening meal - he was informative, fun and made the stay perfect for us. Thank you!
Here’s a polished review for Avalon Hotel: Absolutely amazing stay at Avalon Hotel in South Beach! The location could not be any better — right across from the beach and surrounded by great restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. The Art Deco style of the hotel gives it such a classic Miami vibe while still feeling modern and comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was relaxing and upscale. Waking up and walking right onto Ocean Drive with the ocean view was honestly one of the best parts of the trip. If you’re looking for the perfect South Beach experience with great service, beautiful surroundings, and an unbeatable location, I highly recommend Avalon Hotel. Definitely looking forward to staying here again!
We are at the Avalon and the meals were delicious - tuna and shrimp for mains and the rockafella oysters for a starter. Only issue was there were two very large groups which made our order take forever, thank you to our server for a complimentary glass for wine but think a heads up about wait time would have been good. Location is outstanding.
