We came here to enjoy the pool and spend a relaxing day. I’ll start with the positives. The pool was very nice, the service was good, and it appeared to be clean. There were plenty of places to relax, whether you wanted to sit in the sun or in the shade. There’s also easy access to the beach if you want a change of scenery. The staff was friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. My biggest disappointment was the food and drinks. I ordered a piña colada, and it was by far the most expensive one I’ve ever bought in Florida. After taxes and an automatic gratuity that didn’t give me the option to choose the percentage, the total came to about $36. Unfortunately, it wasn’t worth the price. It tasted like a pre-made mix with alcohol added, rather than a freshly made cocktail. Overall, I recommend this place for the pool, the cleanliness, the friendly service, and the relaxing atmosphere. However, I personally would not recommend ordering food or drinks from the menu, as I found the prices extremely high for the quality offered.
We stayed at the Kimpton Surfcomber for 7 nights and had an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. What makes this hotel truly special is the people. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, cared for, and at home. The service is warm, genuine, and consistently exceptional. A special thank you to Angel and Ileana at the front desk, who were simply amazing. They were always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. They made every interaction effortless and enjoyable. The restaurant staff also deserve special recognition. The service was outstanding throughout our stay, always professional, kind, and attentive. One of the best things about staying here is the peace of mind. You can truly relax because you know everything is taken care of. Whether it was recommendations, requests, or simply making sure we were comfortable, the team handled everything flawlessly. The location is excellent, the atmosphere is wonderful, and the level of hospitality is among the best we’ve experienced. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Miami. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable! ❤️ Maria Clara and Maria Victoria
I recently stayed at the Kimpton Surfcomber in South Beach for the second time, and once again it exceeded my expectations. You truly cannot beat the hospitality here — every staff member is welcoming, attentive, and makes you feel like a valued guest from the moment you arrive. The pool area is one of the highlights of the resort. It’s spacious with plenty of comfortable seating, a fun tiki bar, and an overall atmosphere that perfectly captures the Miami vibe. The beach access is another huge perk, and I loved that they provide chairs and towels for guests, making beach days effortless and relaxing. The rooms are a bit smaller than I personally prefer, but they’re incredibly clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed with a cute boutique feel that fits South Beach perfectly. One thing you absolutely cannot miss is brunch at The Social Club, the attached restaurant. The food was amazing, the bottomless cocktails were perfect, and Pedro was hands-down one of the best servers I’ve ever had anywhere. He made the entire experience even better with his energy and attentiveness. This definitely won’t be my last stay at the Kimpton Surfcomber. It’s the perfect mix of fun, relaxation, great service, and location. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Miami Beach!
I recently stayed at the Kimpton Surfcomber in Miami Beach and unfortunately left quite disappointed, mainly due to housekeeping issues and the way my concerns were handled. The main issue: my room was not cleaned for two consecutive days. I informed the front desk multiple times. Each time I was assured it would be taken care of — yet nothing happened. For a hotel in this price category, this is simply unacceptable. The rooms are on the smaller side, and after showering, humidity builds up quickly. Without daily housekeeping and fresh towels, it becomes uncomfortable very fast. My towel from the first day remained completely soaked, and no replacement was provided. I was effectively forced to continue using damp towels, which felt unhygienic and unpleasant. It was also concerning that housekeeping apparently stops around 5:00 PM and does not catch up on missed rooms afterward. If staffing or scheduling issues exist, management should have systems in place to ensure basic standards are maintained. This feels like a management and staffing issue, not an employee issue. Operational standards and oversight ultimately fall under management responsibility. What makes this even more frustrating: I paid over $2,000 USD for this stay. At this price level, I have never before had to deal with soaked or unchanged towels. That does not align with the expectations of a hotel in this category.
