I was a guest at the Kimpton Surfcomber. - While lounge chairs at the beach are included for guests, umbrellas are an extra $38 - Waiters from Solei will walk around the pool and beach areas with menus asking if you would like to order. We ordered two drinks while we were at the beach. First, the two drinks took so long to come out that we ended up taking our drinks to the room because we were sitting in the heat for so long. - The amount we were charged was different than what was listed on the menu. When I brought this to them they did not offer to fix it, stating there was a "beach surcharge". This was not mentioned at any point before we got the bill. If we had known this, we would have ordered directly from the bar. - Service charge was added automatically. So not only do they charge a beach surcharge, but a service charge as well.
