La comida y el servicio de Ernesto es espectacular. The food is always phenomenal when I come here. Today I had an appetizer and the main course was the chile relleno, I wish it came stuffed with your choice of protein instead of only cheese. I didn’t get my bartenders name because he wasn’t very attentive but Ernesto on the other hand deserves a raise and promotion. Definitely worth the hour drive I made from Ft. Lauderdale. I had a hibiscus drink which was really good becuase sometimes I worry that it’s going to be too sweet but this one is perfect if you like sour, that one was recommended by the bartender. Overall, the experience was great, it didn’t take long to be seated and the food didn’t take too long either even though it was a little busy.
Although it’s been a minute since we first visited this restaurant and the decor has changed making it less Mexican and more contemporary, the food and service is still on point! From their delicious queso fundido to the ceviche sampler! Glad to see that the chocolate tres leches is still yummy and super fun and unique presentation. The Caesar salad with chicken was fresh and had a unique spin in that it had chunks of avocados and unique croutons - must try!!
Came in here for a quick lunch and didn't realize it was the start of the World Cup games! There was a viewing event going on and was super loud which we normally don't mind but we had a toddler sleeping. Our waitress was able to seat us in the back where it was less noise. The food was amazing! This wasn't your typical Mexican place. This place is the upper echelon. The tortillas were fresh and made on location. The kitchen was semi open so you could see the chefs throwing down. The menu, would need a little walking through if you're not familiar with authentic Mexican cuisine and the terms. The server did a fantastic job explaining. The guacamole was soooooo good. The freshness and creaminess of it was amazing. I wanted to put it on everything. The enchiladas were divine. I took the last one back to the Airbnb for a midnight treat lol. Quesabirria I would give a 3.5/5. The tortillas were great and obviously fresh. The meat was tender and seasoned to perfection. I would have loved more consume and cheese on them but that's my preference. If you're looking for some great Latin dinner options, I'd definitely drop by here.
I came to Coral Gables with a group of friends on Friday to see the new art installation, Cielo Tejido. We decided to stop here for dinner. The wait for a table was not as bad as I had anticipated. Once we got our table, they brought us chips and salsa. They were so good that we ordered more chips. What I did not like is that they charged us for the extra chips. To drink, I tried the kiwi lychee margarita. It was very good and refreshing but you could not really taste the lychee. To eat, I tried the enchiladas suizas, which may be the best enchiladas I've had. The service was great. The only time we had to look for the server was when we wanted to leave and had to ask for the check. The option of valet parking is also great for this busy area. I absolutely enjoyed my time here and absolutely loved having a table right underneath the new art installation. I definitely need to return and have the amazing enchiladas suizas again.
We had an absolutely incredible time at Talavera! The environment is so fun and entertaining—it’s the perfect spot for a great night out. The food was truly superb, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. A huge thank you to Cat, Kenny, and Jenny for taking such amazing care of us. They were attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back!
