The Vagabond Hotel Miami
Miami
Avis
It’s cute and actually very quiet, especially considering the location. But the location is a strong part of vagabond. Pool is great. Attractive landscape and plenty of room around the pool. Why it’s a 4 and not a 5. The rooms have recently been remodeled, but one can’t sit on a stool and close the door. You must go deeply into the stool room to shut the door and then do whatever is needed. Just really awkward, and it’s a fresh redo. Great shower but really cheap faucets. Also, around the mattress in two of the rooms there is a lip that sticks out and readily bites shins and calfs. A hazard not thought through, sharp corners! Big question is would I stay here again. Maybe. There are many choices in the area.
Absolutely precious! We stayed 1 night to be close to our cruise port, but we want to come back and stay longer. This is more like a quaint resort feels like you’ve stepped back into the 60’s. The staff is the most kind that we have ever met. Walked us to our room, gave us fabulous recommendations for food, and told us we could go next door and buy beer to hang out by the pool! We even had a room key! We almost forgot how to use those, but loved them! We had the most amazing time and didn’t want to leave! It’s in a great area of Miami, all the business nearby were also so kind to us, we felt very safe. We will be back!!
Had to come to Miami for work it was one of the best experience I have ever had with the stay, front desk and the staff! They were welcoming and accommodating for my service dog and I and we had the best time there. Between work we hung out in the pool area to relax. It was a quiet and serene environment and will definitely come back if in Miami ever again!
I chose this hotel for Miami Swim Week based on the positive reviews, and they did not disappoint. From start to finish, the staff was very professional and kind. The rooms were clean, air conditioning was perfect, and there was a mini fridge. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. I even noticed how other guests leaving/checking out heavily respected them while saying goodbye. The hotel is in a great location close to everything, which was important to me as a Photographer. I will definitely be staying there again. Dex
Fun, retro but remodeled, hotel. Room amenities are good. Comfy bed, clean area. Decent size, fancyish shower that I liked - but might be a little awkward if sharing king suite with a friend and not a spouse. The shower door doesn’t face the room, but does open right into an open space bathroom not blocked from the room. Only the toilet is behind an actual door. That’s just the only logistical thing to consider I guess, which wasn’t that big a problem for us. Pool area was really cool, lots of loungers and shady spots and a little bar area. Staff was polite and helpful. Our cruise had a very late embarkation time the next day - and though they couldn’t let us check out late - they offered to hold our luggage and we lounged at the pool for several hours. Free coffee too. Not far at all from downtown and the port. So overall, a nice clean hotel, with polite staff, not awfully expensive, in a decent location, with a good pool area to chill at as needed as well.
