InterContinental Miami by IHG

Reseñas
Our group of 10 stayed at the InterContinental Miami for 4 nights in early August 2026, and I honestly don't understand how this place is rated as a 5-star hotel. Our experience fell far short of what you'd expect for the price and supposed luxury. First, the basic amenities and room conditions were incredibly disappointing. We asked for something as simple as water for the in-room coffee machines, and the staff flat-out told us they don't supply it. It's absurd for a hotel in this category. Furthermore, our rooms had no ceiling lights, making them feel dim and uninviting, and there wasn't even a water handle in the shower! The housekeeping was practically nonexistent; they didn't clean the rooms or replace the sheets, even after we pointed out a visible stain on one of the pillows. The breakfast at Olé, which the hotel claims is a "sumptuous buffet", was terrible. The selection was extremely poor—there was no salad and hardly any vegetables (not even a simple cucumber or pepper). The croissants tasted like cold leftovers from the day before, and there was no way to heat them up. To make matters worse, despite breakfast being included in our booking, we were forced to sign for it every single morning, and they kept trying to charge us daily. Overall, the service was severely lacking, and the accommodations felt very basic. You can easily find a much better hotel in Miami for your money. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.
We arrived and waited in the check-in line. I was at the front with only one couple behind me, yet the process took about 10 minutes because only two employees were working the desk at midnight. After checking in, we went to the hotel restaurant to eat while waiting for our bags. Good food and service. About 45 minutes later, we went to our room, but our bags had not been delivered as promised. The room also had a strong musty, smoke-like odor that my wife and daughter immediately noticed. To the hotel’s credit, they changed our room right away. Then this morning, my wife, slipped and fell in the lobby in front of a large crowd because of an unmarked puddle of water on the floor. Fortunately, she is fit and young enough to handle a fall. She is fine, other than being embarrassed, but had to spend part of her morning completing an incident report. The hotel is nice and well located near the cruise port but last time we stayed in town, it was the Hilton at Blue Lagoon and that was a better experience. Point, 5 stars in name only.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at the InterContinental Miami! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality and outstanding customer service. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, professional, and eager to help make our stay special. The hotel itself is beautiful, impeccably clean, and in the perfect location. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and offered incredible views. We especially loved how convenient everything was, from dining options to being close to the waterfront and other attractions. We traveled as a family, and everyone made us feel so welcome. It’s clear that the staff truly cares about their guests and takes pride in creating a memorable experience. We can’t say enough good things about our stay and would absolutely choose the InterContinental Miami again on our next visit. If you’re looking for a hotel that combines luxury, exceptional service, and an unbeatable location, this is it. Highly recommend! 🌴✨
We always stay here the night before our cruises and absolutely love it. This hotel is beautiful, spotless, and in a great location. The staff are all so helpful, kind and professional. Again 5 star! We usually eat at ToroToro, the hotel restaurant, the food is always five star! The executive chef personally came to my table this trip to confirm my food allergies and cooked me the most delicious Salmon ever! Thank you!
